We had a fun lunch at Chick-fil-A with plenty of time to catch up on the latest things going on in life. Of course, I had to ask her to show off her house since I hadn't seen the new one yet. Their first home, I'd had a chance to visit a few times and I remember it well. It makes a difference to me to have an image of where my friends live and spend their days. Picturing their setting and their way of life, gives me a greater sense of the fullness of their lives. This was no exception.
When you walk through an immaculate home, beautifully decorated, carefully organized and fully utilized, it tells you something about your friend. It was fun to see Tina's home school room set up. It was neat to see the work and tender-loving care that was put into refinishing desks for her children to use each day. It was fun to see future projects, plans and the beginning of ideas for what she wants to do next. It was great to hear Ella play her violin and see her and Evan's rooms. It was fun to meet their scrappy little dog that is a great delight to Ella.
Fun people :)
I left excited to see the obvious blessings of God on their lives. It was exciting to see what a good mom my friend is and to see how she's expanded her work with her children through home schooling. It was a fun day and I can't wait for Matt and I to spend time with her and her husband on our marriage retreat in January.
Good, godly friends are such a blessing.
Obviously, I'm behind on my reading...but thank you!! You are a treasure in this world and I love our friendship, no matter how distant! :) Thank you for your kind words! Can't WAIT for our trip!
