Italian Market

Our concierge recommended a little Italian market where we could have lunch before seeing STOMP. While we waited to get into the cafe style restaurant, we looked through the market at everything they had for sale. I loved taking it all in, though I wasn't crazy about the throng of people everywhere we turned. It was crowded!

As we looked at the meat available in the market, Matt showed me some dry aged beef and explained the process and benefit of this technique. I found it interesting particularly when he told me the steak we had the previous night was dry aged. Although what I had was a huge portion of beef tenderloin, it was amazingly tender. Melt in your mouth tender.

If we had more time to linger, I would have wanted one of the desserts I saw on display. In retrospect, it's a good thing we needed to leave when we did!

My view while eating at the market :)

We enjoyed sharing a pizza and tried some pomegranate soda. I wish I'd taken more photos so you could see the whole market.

This was a fun little side trip. We had just enough time for me to see everything and for Matt to employ a little patience while I looked. :)
