No matter how well I thought I planned for our trips this month, I did not plan well enough to keep up with the blog. Yesterday, after returning home, Matt made a comment that helped me realize how quickly August flew by for us. We were away from home about as much as we were here.
Since we arrived home on Sunday evening, I'd hoped to get back on track with blogging yesterday. Hoping to sort of take the day off from any real responsibility and piddle around at this or that for fun. As it turned out, Matt went in to work for a bit and long ago, I committed to work when he is at work. That meant, I went ahead with tasks I planned to do today.
After unpacking our suitcases, starting to wash what didn't come back clean from Mom's, straightening the house, sorting mail, making a grocery list, washing/unloading dishes, shopping for groceries, cooking dinner, paying some bills, etc. I noticed Matt had long returned home from work, gone for a run, cleaned up and was relaxing while I was going full speed ahead (wishing I never started :). It was a long and productive day yesterday, a good thing, but my plan was to be a bum, lounge around all day, blog a lot, catch up on reading all of the blogs I follow (which I did fit in :) and do whatever else pleased my fancy.
