Simply Amazing

Who knew one of my favorite experiences in New York would be something as simple as eating from a food truck? :) We watch Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives often. One of the featured phenomena that has interested both of us are food trucks. It's definitely a New York thing, though food trucks are quite common in other cities as well.

Once we hit town and settled in, we didn't want to waste any time on our first day by trying to find a restaurant or take time to sit while eating. We found a food truck right off, actually there were about four lined up side-by-side. We were drawn to one advertising Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Knowing one sandwich would be plenty large enough (about a foot long), we decided to split one.

While in Memphis, I joked with a friend that Matt was the principle holder of said sandwich. I was the principle grab-and-take-a-little-bite-here-and-there-before-it's-devoured by-stander. :) Really it was that good. Each of us would have been tempted to eat a whole sandwich ourselves, it was that delicious.

I must admit, I laughed to myself a little when Matt said the sandwich was the perfect size to share ;) It was in fact the responsible choice to share, so I'm glad we did.

If we make it back to New York in December, I'll be looking for the man who made our first food truck experience so memorable.
