The Woes of Relocating

This is my first move. Ever. I had no idea. No idea what to expect. No idea what all had to be done. No idea how challenging it would be to complete. 

On my third try, I was finally able to make some progress. 

The system in place is actually very organized and went very smoothly. It took me 3 1/2 hours nonetheless. 

Even though I did things out of order (I found out the proper order while there, not before), I now have a current driver's license, vehicle registration, tags, vehicle title, EZ Pass (for paying tolls) and social security card in my married name.

What I have yet to do: Return to the DMV and have my license, vehicle registration, and EZ Pass account changed to my married name. 

For those of you who are novices like me, the first step: apply for a new social security card in your married name. Upon receiving it, do everything else. :) When I return to do the name change update, I'll register to vote. Maybe. Just maybe. Only one more trip. Please.
