Since I forgot to pull out my camera, I had to borrow a picture to introduce them to you.
One night, Kandice sat by me when we ate dinner before a meeting. I liked her instantly. Steven later revealed to me it was mutual.
Although we ended up going on the second week of the mission trip and they went on the first, that was the start of a good friendship between Kandice and I. Through our growing friendship, we went out with them as couples a few times. I particularly remember going with them to see Wicked at the Orpheum.
While home for Easter, we all got together for dinner at a fabulous place in Collierville. A new-to-us restaurant is always fun. The food was great. The setting fantastic. We talked past closing.
It was such an encouraging visit with Steven and Kandice. They have a heart for the Lord and it is evident. We experience true Christian fellowship when we are with them.
We left when the night was still young since they were due to meet another couple for the sunrise service. Let me just say, they left us wanting for more. More time to enjoy them.
I'm grateful we'll have many more of those days, even though we're living so far away.
