Matt didn't seem to like that plan. Of all our friends, Wendy was the first person he mentioned missing when we moved to Maryland after the wedding. I should have considered that while making our weekend plans. At the time, I was so amused. We were in the car, I believe, talking and laughing. In the midst of it, there was something he said that made him think of Wendy, her reactions and humorous way. He promptly said, "Ahh, I miss Wendy!"
His resistance to us going separate ways for breakfast was almost tangible so I acquiesced. He never told me why, but my guess is that he didn't want to miss seeing Wendy. I must admit, during breakfast he asked as many questions and talked with her as much as I did.
It was great to catch up on some things we've missed, but I have to admit I've taken a rain check for the one-on-one visit. As you know ladies, there's just something about sitting face-to-face with a friend talking about life.
